PATHFINDERS
I have been creating an archive of portraits of surviving early social pioneers/activists whose lives have quietly and sometimes noisily contributed to the essential social fabric of Ireland today.

The project is both a record and a celebration of lives lived at often great personal cost but always with courage.

On a personal note, I have again and again been inspired, and moved to tears at these individuals courage, humility and dignity during the darker days of a not too distant past and it has been an honour to bear witness to the stories they carry.
